Under the federal No Child Left Behind Act, hundreds of thousands of students in New York's failing public schools qualify for free after school tutoring or other supplemental educational services.  Each school district has established a process for parents to receive tutoring and other supplemental educational services for their children, if eligible.  The application form issued by the district for parents in the Buffalo city school district is available by clicking here.  The application form issued by the district for parents in the Albany city school district is available by clicking here.

In order to meet the increasing demand for these services, more providers are needed.  That's why the Brighter Choice Public School Choice Project has created Supplemental Educational Services "Toolkits" to help groups become authorized service providers.

Providers of these federally-funded services may be charter schools, faith-based organizations, community organizations, private schools, libraries, private businesses, institutions of higher learning, neighborhood programs, regional BOCES, etc.
